Caching Memories, One Geocoin at a Time

Caching Memories, One Geocoin at a Time
Do you have any collections?

Yeah, I’ve got a collection—not of stamps, baseball cards, or vintage action figures (though those are cool too). Mine’s a little more unique. I collect geocoins—and every single one has a story behind it.

These aren’t just coins you buy and throw in a box. Nope. These are earned, usually by completing geocaching trails or special challenges. You put in the work, follow the clues, explore some pretty cool places, and then BAM—geocoin earned.

Some of my favorites?

The Seneca County Pizza Trail coin. That one’s special because, well… who doesn’t love pizza and treasure hunting? The Dublin Arts Riverboxes coin—those were like hidden little art exhibits along a river. A solid combo of creativity and adventure. And of course, the Belmont County Bigfoot Geotour. Yeah, Bigfoot. That one was just fun all around. Cool caches, fun theme, and a slick coin to top it off.

Each coin is like a little medal, a reminder of the places I’ve been and the hunts I’ve finished. It’s not a huge collection yet, but every time I add a new one, it feels like I’m adding a chapter to my own personal adventure book.

So yeah, I guess you could say I’m a collector. Not of dusty old stuff—but of memories, trails, and shiny little geocoins that remind me why I love geocaching so much.
