My Bedtime Routine (Or Lack Thereof)


What time do you go to bed and wake up currently?
Let’s talk about sleep. Or at least the version of sleep I pretend to get.
During the week, I try to have my life somewhat together. I shoot for bed around 10:30 p.m., because I’ve got adulting to do in the morning. Meals on Wheels doesn’t deliver itself, and Domino’s sure as hell isn’t gonna manage without my exhausted face showing up. So I get up at 6:30 a.m. on the dot, coffee in hand, trying to fake like I slept great and love mornings. Spoiler: I don’t.
Weekends? Oh, weekends are a different animal. I’m in bed by 9:00 p.m. Not because I’m a saint or a health nut—because I’m done. Fried. Mentally clocked out. I crash hard, and when I wake up? Who knows. Could be 7, could be 10, could be noon if the dogs let me. I roll out of bed whenever the hell I feel like it. No alarm. No plan. Just me, some slobbering dogs, and the sweet taste of rebellion.
So yeah—structured chaos. Weekdays, I play pretend like I’ve got my sleep routine together. Weekends, I give zero shits and let the bed claim me as long as it wants. It’s called balance. Sort of.
