Pumpkins, Peace, and No Damn Bugs: The Magic of Fall

What is your favorite season of year? Why?
Look, I’m just gonna say it: fall is the best season. Hands down. No contest. If you disagree, that’s fine, you’re entitled to your wrong opinion.
First of all, the weather. That crisp, cool air that hits you when you walk out in the morning? Chef’s kiss. It’s hoodie weather, which is peak comfort mode. You’re not sweating through your clothes like in summer, and you’re not slipping on ice like a cartoon character in winter. It’s the perfect in-between, and I live for it.
And let’s talk about the leaves. If you don’t stop to admire the trees when they explode into those reds, oranges, and yellows, you probably also ignore puppies and skip past movie previews. It’s nature showing off, and I’m here for it. Every walk or drive feels like a painting. It’s peaceful, it’s beautiful, and for a few weeks, everything looks like a Bob Ross masterpiece.
Also — and this might be one of the best parts — the bugs finally screw off. No more swatting mosquitoes or fighting off wasps like you’re in a backyard version of Mortal Kombat. They just vanish, probably freezing to death somewhere, and I’m not losing any sleep over it.
Now let’s not forget the holidays. Fall brings the heavy hitters. Halloween? A full excuse to eat candy, dress ridiculous, and watch horror movies on repeat. Thanksgiving? A holiday dedicated to eating way too much and pretending to tolerate your relatives for the sake of pie. Plus, all the spooky vibes, haunted houses, pumpkin patches, apple cider, and fire pits — it’s everything you want, all rolled into one season.
So yeah, give me fall over sweating in the summer, sneezing through spring, or freezing in the winter. I’ll be the guy outside, in a hoodie, sipping coffee, stepping on crunchy leaves, and loving every second of it.
